Dr. Camila Carlos-Shanley holds a degree in Biology from the State University of Campinas (2007), and Masters (2010) and PhD (2014) in Genetics and Molecular Biology from the State University of Campinas (2010). Camila was a postdoctoral fellow in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Dep. of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from 2014-2015 and at Department of Bacteriology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 2015-2018. My research and teaching expertise is microbiology with emphasis on microbial ecology and genomics.
